As part of our whole class assembly today we have been focusing on the little things in our lives and how we can be appreciative of these. The class came up with the ideas that they really enjoyed receiving house points and marbles as rewards in class and these little things helped them with their learning. The children also suggested they appreciated being able to have regular communication with God through prayer and some were thankful to receive Jesus through the act of Communion.
The children have been interpreting this message through drawing all of the little things that are meaningful to them and why they appreciate them. Others, have decided to write prayers of thanks to our Father for providing us with all of these gifts.

PRAYER BY PROGRESS, ST MATTHIAS CLASS
‘Dear Lord,
I am thankful for my parents and that there is somebody who can look after me. I am thankful for the shelter you have provided me with and that my family have food to eat. I am thankful for the wonderful teachers you have provided me with here at St Michaels and I thank you that everyone in our school is safe and protected.
Amen’
